the sky – and the obsession continues
thursday, friday, and the challenge is over (thank goodness)
After the controversial pants of Wednesday I channelled my inner earth creature and wore only earth tones. Felt like I was dressed hi hide behind some bushes but it passed the rigorous office inspection (thankkkk goodness)
andddd then it was Friday. Thank goodness I made it as mornings are difficult enough without having access to a probably too large proportion of my wardrobe.
Due to a manic weekend not involving laundry, I managed to crank out a mostly black outfit today… it’s good to be back (black). haha.
hump day
I promise the pants are blue!! stupid crappy webcam makes ‘em look black.
Two days to go, I have tomorrow sorted but Friday could be a challenge… running out of things to wear on my bottom half…
navy! honest!
tried to spice up a world of navy and beige with orange lip stick? too much for a Wednesday? never…
tuessssdaaaayyyy
tell me why… i don’t like mondaaayyyssss
I don’t really mind Monday’s that much but just thought it was a catchy wee title. Today the challenge began for real… work attire? Decided that I shall milk the possibilities of working at a school rather than in an office, as all my non black clothing seems to be slightly less profesh looking. Even managed to colour co-ordinate my morning coffee mug with my skirt. mmhmm.
I know it is a slight cop-out asss pretty much I am wearing exactly what I wore last night just different colours but STILL it is without black so I say job well done. grey cardy! I promise. Stupid webcam photossssssss.
NB: Manage to spill coffee down my front this morning (never been terribly coordinated…) tried to rinse out but this resulted in having to find another white singlet. Had I been wearing black however…..
Now workout gear is exempt (due to lack of possibilities) but managed to throw together a little something. Apparently I have a lot of grey and green….good to know it was a day of it! Sorry for lame webcam pics but I promise there is not an ounce of black to be seen…
retarded seal
sunday funday = thumbs up
double the challenge today!
#1 – clean house / walk on beach / clean house some more / sit at computer and do some work / go to work and do some work (not sure why I named this post sunday funday but anyway……
#2 – Y13 performance evening – I PROMISE that the singlet is navy – I even found navy tights. Attention to detail…
p.s HKD is doing a stellar job… international updates next post…
sat’day

all black?
So as a Wellington woman, a performing ‘artist’ (haha) and a Jones, black seems to dominate my wardrobe. A practical colour, goes with everything. Good for looking like you mean business perhaps? I am not sure. Anyway. I always seem to drift towards this colour. Emails and photos have been exchanged with HKD marvelling on days where black does not enter into an outfit in any way, a feeling of triumph against the wardrobe if you will. It’s not that I am scared of colour (anyone who has been to my house / office / classroom can vouch for that) it’s just that I don’t wear a lot of it.
The challenge has been set by Dannielle… no wearing black for a week. It was a light hearted challenge, set on a Friday night while wandering through Albany, before drinking Sangria in the most colourful bar to ever hit the Shore but one I have decided to take on 100% (why not eh!). And seeing as I have neglected my blog in the past few months (soz) I shall document the process here. Of all times to partake in this challenge, this week seems extremely unpatriotic as the country adorns itself in the shade of black for the Rugby World Cup, but I think I can handle the jandal.
Stage 1: Separate wardrobe into black and not black…. 50:50 it seems…
choir geek cont.
Second (maybe third) best repertoire decision of life (luckily they didn’t film me at the end with the tears a streaming down my face…)
so proud of these amazing kids / young adults / youth ambassadors / beautiful people
